If you check the Jplay forum, there is a lot high experience user still fight with Bughead hardware and comparable issue. I am one of the lucky guy without any hardware issue for running it in updated Bughead version. It does take a lot of time with trail and error to make it stable. I do understand running Bughead is not a plug play software. The sonic standard is still in very high prestige level. Now just listen to his most recent version 6.86 by skipping few version. Hiroyuki will get my salute to all his efforts and sharing his experience without any hold back.
